Before you pay

Find out whether Sotto runs on your computer, first.

Sotto Stacks and Sotto Scope run on an ordinary laptop, and they work the same on a five year old one as on a new one.

Sotto Sense and Sotto Solo run a language model on your own machine, which needs a capable computer.

You do not have to guess and you do not have to buy first. Downloading Sotto and running its hardware check are free and need no license key. If your computer cannot run a local model, Sotto tells you during setup, and the AI features do not appear rather than failing in front of you.

The hardware check runs during setup, before you activate any license key. Section 2 of the End User License Agreement grants you the download and the check free of charge.

When your computer can run a local model, every plan is open to you.

What to expect

Sotto is not code signed yet.

Code signing is how an operating system recognizes who published a program. Sotto does not have its certificate yet, so Windows will show a warning screen before the installer runs, and on macOS you will need to open the installer from the right-click menu. Linux is not affected.

On a computer your employer or your university manages, the install can be refused outright, and that is not something you can click past.

Install Sotto Stacks first. It is free, it takes no payment card, and it uses the same installer as every paid plan. If Sotto Stacks installs and opens on your computer, the plan you buy will install too.

If an IT team manages your computer, they may need to approve the install. The release page lists what Sotto installs and where, which is usually what they ask for. If they will not approve it, write to support@sottolab.com.

Download Sotto only from sottolab.com or our official releases page. We are working on the certificate, and we will not name a date until we have one.

Subscription details

Sotto Scope, Sotto Sense and Sotto Solo are subscriptions. A subscription continues until you cancel it.
Sotto Stacks is free. It requires no payment card, it does not expire, and it is not a trial.
Choose your plan and billing period at checkout. Sotto Scope is $9.99 per month and Sotto Sense is $19.99 per month, each renewing monthly. Sotto Solo is $29.99 per month renewing monthly, or $349.99 per year renewing annually. Billing renews automatically until you cancel.
Your price stays the same while you are subscribed unless we change it, and we will tell you before any change takes effect.
You can cancel any time in the billing portal, and Sotto's Settings screen and your account page both link to it. Cancelling in the portal is complete in itself. There is no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee.

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller, which will appear on your card statement.
